Its not often we get to meet our heroes, but shooting the women activists of @marchforourlives was just that. Im so impressed and proud of these fearless women, who in spite of age are taking the world head on. These women ARE change they ARE power. They moved me, make me hope for them, and actually GAVE me hope for US ALL. Since they wont take no for an answer, we will have to listen. It was an emotional day, its hard to negotiate all of the attention received from such a somber and horrific experience, but visibility is key, this helps get their word out. THANK YOU LADIES FOR DOING WHAT HAD NOT BEEN DONE. I shot 2 covers for this years Glamour Women Of The Year issues. The work Glamour does to celebrate women is unparalleled, and being asked to create work for them was an incredible honor. By asking me to give my eye, my editors, @nathaliekirsheh , @hall.kathryne and EIC @sammybarrynews, made me feel as important as the subjects we celebrated. I take great pride in creating this imagery. @Janellemonae is a powerful woman and an important presence in the music world. Her talents and character are undeniably unshakable, she is honest and daring and creates her music without compromise. This year she came out as queer, and told the world “I consider myself to be a free-ass motherfucker”.
